CPVC power pipe, also known as chlorinated polyvinyl chloride power cable protection pipe, is a new type of power engineering pipe made of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin as the core material and extruded. It gradually replaces traditional steel pipes and concrete pipes with comprehensive performance, becoming the core choice for urban power grid construction, municipal engineering, and building electrical line laying.
1、 High temperature resistance: suitable for cable heating conditions
CPVC resin enhances molecular chain stability through chlorination reaction, with a Vicat softening temperature of 93 ℃, and can work stably for a long time in an environment ranging from -40 ℃ to 90 ℃. Short term overload heating (70-80 ℃) during cable operation will not cause deformation or softening of the pipe, effectively protecting the internal cable. Compared to ordinary PVC pipes (with a Vicat softening temperature of only 60 ℃), CPVC can adapt to higher temperature electrical scenarios and avoid cable damage caused by thermal deformation.
2、 Chemical corrosion resistance: adaptable to complex geological environments
CPVC power pipes have strong resistance to acids, bases, salts, organic solvents, and microorganisms. In soil with a pH value of 3-11 (such as acid rain areas, saline alkali land, industrial pollution areas), oxidation, aging, or brittleness will not occur, and the service life can reach more than 50 years. Traditional metal pipes are prone to rust and concrete pipes are susceptible to acid and alkali corrosion, while CPVC pipes can maintain structural integrity under complex geological conditions and reduce maintenance costs in the later stages.
3、 High strength impact resistance: to cope with external pressure
CPVC power pipe has a tensile strength of ≥ 50MPa, a compressive strength of ≥ 90MPa, and excellent resistance to external pressure. When laying underground, it can withstand external forces such as vehicle compaction and soil settlement, and is not easily deformed or broken. Its low-temperature impact resistance is outstanding, and there are no cracks in the drop hammer impact test at -20 ℃, making it suitable for use in cold northern regions. This feature ensures reliability during construction and long-term use, reducing the risk of pipeline failures.
4、 Easy installation: improve construction efficiency
The density of CPVC pipe is only 1.5g/cm ³, which is 1/5 of steel pipe and 1/10 of concrete pipe, with low transportation and handling costs. The connection method adopts socket adhesive or elastic sealing ring, which is easy to operate and does not require complex tools. The construction efficiency is more than 30% higher than traditional pipes. In addition, there is no need for regular anti-corrosion treatment, which significantly reduces maintenance costs.
